My Story
As a therapist my clients are adults who want deep healing from grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other wounds to find wholeness in self and relationships again. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Every journey is different. I help my clients uncover what they may have forgotten and move towards the path of growth and healing.
My practice focuses on grief therapy, dream tending, mindfulness, active imagination, images, and other forms of symbolic expression. Through individual counseling and dream group work, I assist those who are ready to trust their inner guidance and bravely explore the dark. Even the most difficult challenge can hold gifts for us. My journey to becoming a counselor began with a series of devastating losses. After losing my husband and other family members, I felt lost myself. Having always been fascinated by mythology, I saw how these ancient stories could offer comfort and insight into the human experience. As I delved deeper, I found my true calling while studying mythology with an emphasis in depth psychology, a practice based in Carl Jung’s psychoanalytic therapy. I pursued certification in loss and trauma from University of the Southwest in New Mexico. I began giving talks on mythology, grief, and death, sharing what I had learned with others who were struggling with their own losses. I am humbled by the stories I hear, and the wisdom gained by my clients.
